Nothing is sold through this website

You cannot buy a license, a service or a product on this site. Every arrangement begins with a signed agreement that names what is covered, the fee and the term. That agreement, not this page, sets the commercial terms between us.

Where this policy and your signed agreement differ, your agreement governs.

Music licenses

A license fee is earned when the license is signed, because that is the moment the right to use the music passes to you. License fees are not refundable, including where a project is cancelled, recut, shelved or never released, unless your license says otherwise in writing.

If you need to change the use, the territory or the term after signing, that is an amendment rather than a refund. Tell us and we will quote it.

Custom music

Custom music is quoted in writing before work begins, with the deposit, the milestones and what each one covers set out in the agreement. A deposit secures the writing time and is not refundable once that time is reserved. Work completed and delivered is payable whether or not the project proceeds.

Merchandise

Where merchandise is sold, the refund, exchange and return terms are shown at the point of sale on the store that sells it, and those terms apply to that purchase.

Failed payments

If a scheduled payment fails we will try again and let you know. If it cannot be collected, delivery or license clearance pauses until the payment goes through. We do not charge a fee for a failed payment.

Duplicate and unauthorized charges

If you were charged twice for the same thing, or you see a charge you did not authorize, tell us and we will investigate and put right anything that was our error. That is the one situation where money goes back, because it was never owed.

Where the law says otherwise

Nothing in this policy takes away a right you have under the law that cannot be waived. If consumer law where you live entitles you to a remedy, that law applies regardless of what this page says.

Artist agreements

Recording, publishing and merchandising arrangements with artists are not bought on this site. Advances, recoupment, royalties and termination are set out in the signed agreement and are not governed by this policy.
